Long products

For the measurement of long products, we offer systems for measuring seamless and welded tubes, as well as measurements for bars, blooms, and billets.

The LIMAB TubeProfiler S system can measure the outer diameter, ovality, straightness, length and true shape of the tube. The LIMAB BarProfiler 3D measures the complete bar dimensions, including diameter and ovality, shape irregularities like flat-spots, as well as under- and overfills.

Flat products

For the measurements of flat products LIMAB offers systems for measuring slabs, heavy plates, and strips. Our SlabProfiler 3D is developed to give plant management and operators full control over the caster operation.

The SlabProfiler 3D instantly recognizes dimensional problems of the slabs, such as width, edge profile, edge height, edge concavity/convexity, and camber. This steel measuring equipment is suitable for both cold and hot rolling mill applications.

Measurement of OD, ovality, true shape and length for process control and final inspection.

TubeProfiler S

Measurement of OD, ovality, shape, length and straightness (total, end and local) for process control (threading and cutting operation) and final inspection according to API standards.

SlabProfiler 3D

Measurement of width, edge profile, edge thickness, length and camber for process control and final inspection. The SlabProfiler 3D integrates the LIMAB ProfiCura 2D sensors.

Thickness Profiler Metal

Used for measurement of length, thickness and width and for final inspection and process control. The LIMAB PreciCura sensors are integrated in the ThicknessProfiler.

TubeProfiler

Measurement of OD, ovality, shape and length for process control and final inspection. The TubeProfiler integrates the LIMAB PreciCura sensors.

LengthProfiler

The Length Profiler Measurement integrates the LIMAB LaserSpeed Doppler gauge, and measures the length of slabs and heavy plates for process control and final inspection.

Width Profiler

Width Profiler is a system to measure width and position of thin objects. Position can be the edge position of the band or the centre line deviation. Measurement data is output continuously.
